The glorious skies of Texas are one of painter David MacSmith’s favorite subjects. He paints his expressive skies and landscapes with a spirit and sense of capturing a special moment of time and place. Whether it’s a small, intimate setting or an expansive vista, the result transports us to an interesting place, sensing the emotions of being there at a wonderful, unique moment.   
 

His scenes are largely centered on the areas where he has lived and experienced life. David has lived in West Texas, the Texas Hill Country and presently lives and paints in the Lake Texoma area near the Red River.
