Jeff Moxham

Jeff Moxham was born in Buffalo, New York.  Jeff’s father was an artist and award-winning commercial artist in the Buffalo area. In the mid 1950’s the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona.  Per 1950’s standards, this was considered an unusually bold move to the “wild west”.  But, Jeff’s father felt the second best commercial artist in Buffalo could easily be the “best” in the relatively small city of Phoenix.  Plus, no more harsh Buffalo winter weather to endure!

Jeff enjoyed a 32 year career as an engineer and telecommunications planner in the telephone industry.  His company merger with GTE brought him to San Angelo in 1992.

In 2002 Jeff retired from Verizon.  Retirement has afforded him the opportunity to trade in the exactness of engineering for the creative expression of oil and pastel painting.  And, perhaps, discover that some of his father’s artistic talent is within him.  Jeff is a self-taught artist.  His pastel landscape paintings have won awards in San Angelo and Coleman art competitions.

Jeff Moxham and his wife, Connie, also an artist, reside in San Angelo, Texas.

Jeff is a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painter’s Society, as well as the Pastel Society of the Southwest, and participates in several juried art shows annually.
